NUSRL Ranchi Organises IPR Awareness Workshop at Jharkhand Government Tool Room
Ranchi: The DPIIT–IPR Chair of the National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi, in collaboration with Jharkhand Government Tool Room, Ranchi, organised an Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Awareness Workshop on October 15, 2026, to promote awareness about intellectual property protection and its significance in innovation and technological development.
Ms. Nishi Shabana, DPIIT–IPR Chair Professor at NUSRL Ranchi, was the keynote speaker at the workshop. She delivered an insightful address on Intellectual Property Rights, highlighting the importance of protecting innovations, creative works, designs, and brands. She also emphasised the role of IPR in encouraging creativity, entrepreneurship, and technological advancement.
The workshop was attended by Mr. Parmeshwar Mahto and Ms. Vartika Lall, Research Associates at the DPIIT–IPR Chair, NUSRL Ranchi. The initiative aimed to strengthen IPR awareness and promote engagement between academic institutions and technical organisations.
The programme highlighted the importance of intellectual property rights in the technical and industrial sectors, where the protection of innovative ideas, designs, and technological developments can contribute to growth and competitiveness.
Such collaborative initiatives play an important role in building an innovation-oriented ecosystem and encouraging greater awareness of intellectual property rights among technical institutions, professionals, and aspiring innovators.
Through this initiative, the DPIIT–IPR Chair, NUSRL Ranchi, reaffirmed its commitment to promoting intellectual property awareness and strengthening collaboration with technical and industrial institutions in Jharkhand.
