State-Level Banks Meet in Ranchi to Strengthen Credit Support for SC/ST Entrepreneurs

RANCHI: In a major push to boost inclusive entrepreneurship, the National SC-ST Hub (NSSH) Office, Ranchi, under the Ministry of MSME, partnered with the State Level Bankers Committee (SLBC) to organize a high-level State Level Banks Meet today at Hotel Plateau, Ranchi.

The confluence aimed to enhance awareness among financial institutions for the seamless implementation of SC/ST Hub schemes, specifically focusing on the Special Credit Linked Capital Subsidy Scheme (SCLCSS).

The deliberations centered around creating robust mechanisms for smooth credit flow, ensuring timely subsidy reimbursements, and optimizing the delivery of government schemes to SC/ST micro and small enterprises (MSEs).

Inaugurating the event, H.K. Wadhwa, Director SME at the Ministry of MSME, welcomed the delegates and emphasized that empowering SC/ST entrepreneurs is pivotal to achieving equitable economic growth. Following his address, Santosh Kumar Sinha, DGM of SLBC Jharkhand, outlined the banking sector’s ongoing support framework and commitment to fostering SC/ST-led businesses in the region.

Kiran Maria Tiru, SBM of NSIC/NSSH Ranchi, provided a detailed presentation on the core National SC-ST Hub initiatives. She tabled actionable solutions to eliminate operational bottlenecks between banks and entrepreneurs, ensuring a hassle-free flow of financial benefits. Further, the NSSH Head Office cell clarified the eligibility criteria, core objectives, and step-by-step application architecture of the SCLCSS and associated reimbursement programs.

The event featured an interactive open house discussion where participating bankers brainstormed ground-level credit challenges, explored risk-mitigation strategies, and proposed policy refinements to enhance banking accessibility for marginalized entrepreneurs.

Concluding the meet, D.K. Agrawal, Senior GM of NSSH, proposed the Vote of Thanks. He stressed the urgent need to cement inter-agency coordination with banks to tackle emerging market challenges and maximize benefits for SC/ST businesses.
