The Martyrs Of Pahalgam: A Tribute

22nd April 2025, Kashmir. India woke up to a horrifying NEWS: an attack. 26 dead; it was a horrible sight. Terrorism, from my account, is a thing bad enough in itself, and even worse when it goes across the border. The people of Pahalgam experienced the terror caused by Pakistani terrorists when they opened fire at a meadow, asked the tourists their names and religions, and shot them if they said, “Aman, Mohan, etc., Hindu.”

Those who claimed to be Muslims were asked to recite the first Kalima, or holy verse, from the Quran, and if they were unable to recite it, they were shot. A total of 26 tourists, including two locals and two foreigners, were shot. The Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET) claims the responsibility. This is the most heinous act in the area after the Pulwama Valley strike in 2019. Even security personnel couldn’t arrive on time to protect the tourists. The CM Omar Abdulla was called in, and an investigation was started. My tributes and condolences to the families and friends of the 26 deceased. May their souls rest in heaven. My salute to them.
