Cleanliness workers likely to proceed on indefinite period strike from Sept.2

Ranchi: Jharkhand capital is likely to face cleanliness problem as cleanliness worker of Ranchi Muncipal Corporation planned to proceed on indefinite period strike from September 2 to press for their five point of demands.

“If demanded is not fuliflled by Sunday, strike will start from Monday,” a cleanliness worker said sharing picture of the meeting in which decision was taken.

The five point charter of demands include immediate regularisation of services of those working for last 10 years, increasing salary of Supervisor, Zonal Supervisor, Transport Supervisor and Office Assistant by 30 percent with immediate effect, immediate supply of list of workers working for last 10 years as demanded by Urban Development department, increasing transport allowance of supervisors to Rs 3000 from Rs 1000 and benefit of equal pay for equal work.
