TMBU to Host Two-Day National Seminar on Rural Economy and ‘Viksit Bharat @ 2047’ This November

BHAGALPUR: Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University (TMBU) is gearing up to host a prestigious Two-Day Multidisciplinary National Seminar titled “Human Resource Development in Inclusive Rural Economy for Viksit Bharat @ 2047.” The high-profile event is scheduled to take place on November 4th and 5th, 2026, at the TMBU MBA Campus in Bhagalpur.

Jointly organized by the University Department of Rural Economics and Co-operative Management (RECM) and the University Department of Industrial Relations and Personnel Management (IRPM), the seminar will be held in a hybrid mode to accommodate both physical attendees and virtual participants via platforms like Jio Meet, Zoom, and Google Meet. The program is being executed in close academic collaboration with the Agro-Economic Research Centre (AERC) and TMBU’s Master in Business Administration Programme.

The core leadership steering the convention includes Chief Patron Prof. (Dr.) B. S. Jha, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of TMBU, along with Patrons Prof. (Dr.) Archana Sah and Prof. (Dr.) Ramashish Purvey. The organizing structure is headed by Chairperson Prof. (Dr.) Ravi Prakash Yadav, alongside Conveners Prof. (Dr.) Nirmala Kumari and Dr. Rajesh Kumar Mishra, with Dr. Ashwajeet Rathor serving as the Organizing Secretary.

Aimed at a broad demographic of academicians, policy professionals, cooperative practitioners, research scholars, and students, the seminar has officially opened its call for papers. Prospective contributors must submit their abstracts by October 15, 2026, with selection confirmations scheduled for October 20, followed by a final full-paper submission deadline on October 25, 2026. Registration is mandatory for all participating delegates, with tiered pricing based on professional background. Standard registration fees are set at Rs. 3,000 for industry professionals, Rs. 1,500 for academicians, Rs. 1,200 for research scholars, and Rs. 600 for students. On-spot registration options are available for select categories at a slightly higher premium, and outstation delegates requiring housing can opt for accommodation services priced at Rs. 2,000 per person per day.
