Birsa Agricultural University conducts entrance examination for admission to PG programmes

Ranchi: The entrance examination for admission to various postgraduate (PG) and PhD programmes at Birsa Agricultural University (BAU) was conducted peacefully on Sunday.
Dr Ramesh Kumar, Examination In-charge and Dean of the Postgraduate Faculty at BAU, said that the examination was conducted using OMR answer sheets. He added that the results are expected to be announced within 15 days.

The competitive examination was organized for admission to Master’s and PhD programmes offered by various departments under the Faculty of Agriculture, the Faculty of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, and the Faculty of Forestry.

Candidates also appeared for the entrance examination for admission to the M Tech programmes offered by different departments of the College of Agricultural Engineering, as well as the MBA (Agri-Business) programme conducted by the Centre for Agribusiness Management.

The examination was completed smoothly under the supervision of Registrar Dr Sailesh Chattopadhyay.

Out of BAU’s 11 colleges located across different districts of Jharkhand, postgraduate programmes are currently offered at five colleges.
