Under the leadership of Bandhu Tirkey, Tana Bhagats paid floral tributes to Bapu at Rajghat

Ranchi / New Delhi: Under the leadership of former minister, member of the Coordination Committee of Jharkhand Government and Working President of the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee, Bandhu Tirkey, around 300 Tana Bhagats who reached Delhi, along with senior Congress office-bearers, block presidents, and senior workers, today visited Rajghat and paid their respects and floral tributes at the memorial of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. On this occasion, Tana Bhagats who had come from various parts of Chhattisgarh were also present.

On the call of former Congress President and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, to participate in the “Vote Chor Gaddi Chhod” mega rally scheduled to be held on 14 December 2025 at Ramlila Maidan, New Delhi, Tana Bhagats from various districts of Jharkhand, along with Tana Bhagats from Chhattisgarh and Congress office-bearers and workers, today met Congress General Secretary K.C. Venugopal and Congress Jharkhand In-charge K. Raju at the Congress headquarters, Indira Bhavan, in New Delhi, under the leadership of Sri Tirkey. On this occasion, senior Congress leaders welcomed the Tana Bhagats, followers of Mahatma Gandhi.

Sri Tirkey said that the Congress mega rally will not only be completely successful, but will also succeed in making the common people aware of their legal rights, especially the right to vote, and of the attacks being carried out on these rights through the collusion between the Modi government and the Election Commission.
Those who paid tributes to Bapu at Rajghat and later came to Indira Bhavan included prominent Tana Bhagats, Congress office-bearers, and workers such as K.D. Guru, Tupendra Tana Bhagat, Ramdan Tana Bhagat, Sarita Tana Bhagat, Dasmi Tana Bhagat, Manti Tana Bhagat, Shiv Charan Tana Bhagat, Sumeg Tana Bhagat, Manoj Tana Bhagat, Mazkoor Alam, Mudassir Haq, Karma Oraon, Md. Isteiyak, Manga Oraon, Jayant Barla, Sudama Mahli, Irshad Khan, Ajay Gop, Alok Sahu, Mangleshwar Oraon, among others.
