Navapur Railway station:
This is a unique railway station where the border of Maharashtra and Gujarat is cut through a wooden bench placed on the platform of this station.
The length of this railway platform is 800 meters, of which 500 meters in Gujarat and 300 meters in Maharashtra. Announcements at the station are made in four languages, English, Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati. The ticket counter and police station are in Nandurbar district of Maharashtra, while the station master's office, waiting room and washroom are in Tapi district of Gujarat.
The most surprising thing is that in the Maharashtra part of the wooden bench placed on the platform, one can technically consume alcohol but pan masala and gutkha are prohibited where in the part of Gujarat one can consume pan masala and gutkha but alcohol is restricted.
