Ranchi: On the occasion of World Environment Day 2025, the Rotary Club of Ranchi South, in collaboration with Taurian World School, Ranchi, organized a special Tree Plantation Drive and Environmental Awareness Program. This event was part of the Rotary International theme: “Creating Hope in the World”, focusing on environmental sustainability and community participation.
The Chief Guest of the event was Deputy Inspector General (DIG), CRPF, Dharmendra Narayan Lal, who addressed the students and participants with an inspiring message. Shri Lal was recently featured in Prabhat Khabar (5th June 2025) for his exemplary efforts in environmental protection. Across various postings, he has planted over 15,000 trees and is personally committed to their care and survival.
“Planting a tree is only the first step. The real task is to keep it alive. That’s why I personally ensure its care.” DIG Lal said.
