Government school children celebrates Independence Day with Pankhuri

Ranchi: Pankhuri, a social outfit in Ranchi celebrated Independence day on the premises of Government Middle School at Karamtoli today.

Chief Guest on the occasion was Principal of St Xaviers College Father Nabor Lakra and guest of honours were BK Sinha of St Xaviers College, Saurabh Ambastha, MD DARAAD ENGICON PRIVATE LIMITED and SD Singh, State Head of ITHRD.

The programme kickked off with a welcome dance – Sanson ki Sargam Shubh Swagatam by students of std VIII who greeted guests with dance. This was followed by national anthem- Jana Gana Mana. All students joined hands for prayer- Tu Ram Hai Tu Rahim Hai followed by pledge by 155 students who promised to attend school.

Chief guest Father Principal greeted students with Johar and appreciated efforts shown by social outfit. ” We are happy tp attend this program and see smile on your faces. All of you promise to attend school every day and rest of things will be followed. We Will be sending our NSS volunteers to teach you all, ‘.

BK Sinha too promised to take English classes through Pankhuri. Later students Dharmita Kumari of std 8 said speech on Bhagat Singh, Ankit Kumar threw light on the life of Mahatma Gandhi, Kartik Sanjay Singh of std 8 spoke on Birsa Munda, Anushka Kumari of std 5 spoke on Jawaharlal Nehru. After speech choloates and tri colours were distributed by Chief Guest who also interacted with the students.

Keeping in tune with spirit of patriotism pankhuri orgsnised painting competition on the topics national flag, freedom fighter, peacock, Indian Army. Present on the occasion were Chairperson of Pankhuri Arti Sahuliyar, Treasurer Hazel Davis, Vice President Rajesh Raj Ravi, Nehar K Das, Sushil Kumar Srivastawa, principal Sufia Khatoon, school teachers Sangeeta Singh, Shubhum Kumar, Sangeeta Toppo
