CMPDI and MSME-Development Office Joint Vendor Development Programme Concludes Successfully in Ranchi

RANCHI: A two-day Vendor Development Programme-cum-Product Exhibition 2026 successfully concluded at Rabindra Bhawan in Ranchi. The collaborative event was jointly organized by the Central Mine Planning and Design Institute (CMPDI), a Mini-Ratna subsidiary of Coal India Limited, and the MSME-Development Office, Ranchi, under the Ministry of MSME, Government of India.The primary goal of the two-day event, held on September 9 and 10, 2026, was to create deep, long-term business partnerships between large corporate public sector undertakings (PSUs) and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Empowering Small Enterprises and Promoting Transparency

The event was inaugurated by CMPDI CMD Shri Chaudhari Shivraj Singh and CCL CMD Shri Nilendu Kumar Singh, who emphasized that MSMEs are vital for driving innovation and building a self-reliant nation (Atmanirbhar Bharat). Additionally, CVO Shri Pankaj Kumar noted that the program aligned with the Vigilance Awareness Campaign 2026 to ensure transparent public procurement.

Workshops, Exhibitions, and High Turnout

The programme featured technical sessions on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) and TReDS, alongside procurement requirement presentations from major public sector entities like CMPDI, CCL, SAIL Bokaro, and MECON. Special emphasis was given to supporting women and SC/ST entrepreneurs. Attended by over 200 MSME delegates, the exhibition showcased industrial products from 5 government bodies and 15 small enterprise units, concluding with interactive Q&A sessions.
