Sanskrit Bharati Concludes Two-Day Training Camp in Ranchi; Lays Roadmap for Language Expansion

RANCHI: A two-day training camp (Karyakarta Abhyas Varga) organized by Sanskrit Bharati, Jharkhand State, concluded successfully on Sunday at the Swarnarekha Institute of Paramedical Science, Ranchi.

Around 60 workers from various districts of Jharkhand participated in the training programme, which spanned five comprehensive sessions. The camp was guided by the All India Prachara Pramukha of Sanskrit Bharati, Shrish Devpujari.

During the inaugural session, Devpujari reviewed the current status of Sanskrit promotion in Jharkhand and engaged in detailed deliberations with participants regarding future plans. He emphasized that sustained, systematic, and society-oriented efforts are essential for taking Sanskrit to every section of society.

In the subsequent sessions, Devpujari presented the organization’s action plan for the coming year. He urged workers to actively implement Sanskrit Bharati’s five major programmes across all regions including Shloka Recitation Centres, Bala Kendras (Children’s Centres), Gita Kendras, Simple Sanskrit Examination and Sanskrit Learning through Correspondence

He highlighted weekly gatherings, conversational Sanskrit camps, and family education programmes as foundational activities for organizational expansion.

Addressing the role of the Vidvat Parishad, Devpujari noted a pressing need for simple and practical Sanskrit literature. He urged scholars to prepare concise, useful booklets for the public. Referencing the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, he stated that translating high-quality books on engineering, medicine, science, law, and other disciplines into Sanskrit is an important requirement for strengthening India’s knowledge tradition.

Devpujari further stressed that Sanskrit must not remain confined to teachers and students. He highlighted the need to leverage modern communication platforms—including audiovisual media, social media, exhibitions, art, cultural programmes, and eminent personalities—to popularize the language. He recommended regular celebration of cultural milestones such as Gita Jayanti, Maharshi Valmiki Jayanti, Vasant Panchami, Vyasa Purnima, Varsha Pratipada, Vishwakarma Jayanti, and Sanskrit Week.

The final segments focused on organizational responsibilities, functioning, and expansion. During the valedictory session, a roadmap for future activities was presented, and new responsibilities were assigned to workers according to their abilities.
