Adani Foundation Lights Up Villages with Solar High Mast Lights

Barkagaon (Hazaribagh): In a step towards improving rural infrastructure and enhancing public safety, Adani Foundation has installed solar-powered high mast lights at key public locations in Horam, Mardusoti, Pundaul, and Chandaul villages under the Gondulpura Mining Project as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

The newly installed lights have transformed several public spaces, including village squares, roads, and community areas, which earlier remained poorly lit after sunset. The initiative has significantly improved visibility during the night, making movement safer and more convenient for residents, particularly women, children, and the elderly.

Villagers welcomed the initiative, saying that inadequate lighting had long posed challenges for night-time mobility and safety. With the installation of the solar high mast lights, public spaces such as temple premises, village junctions, and key roads are now well illuminated, encouraging safer movement and greater community interaction after dark.

Powered by renewable solar energy, the lighting system also promotes clean and sustainable energy while reducing dependence on conventional electricity. The initiative reflects the Adani Foundation’s commitment to strengthening rural infrastructure through environmentally responsible solutions.

Adani Foundation Continues Rural Development Initiatives

Under the Gondulpura Mining Project, the Adani Foundation has been implementing a range of CSR programmes across the Barkagaon block, focusing on education, healthcare, nutrition, skill development, women’s empowerment, livelihood enhancement, drinking water, rural infrastructure, youth and sports development, and environmental conservation.
