Adani Foundation provides e-rickshaws to two women to promote self-employment

GODDA: In a step towards promoting women’s empowerment and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities in rural Jharkhand, Adani Foundation has provided two women with e-rickshaws along with driving training under the Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives of the Jitpur Mining Project in Sundarpahari block of Godda district.

The initiative aims to enable the beneficiaries to pursue self-employment, generate an independent source of income and strengthen their families’ financial security. By combining driving training with vehicle support, the programme seeks to provide the women with a practical means of livelihood and encourage greater economic independence.

The programme was attended by the project’s Site Head, CSR Head and other representatives. The two beneficiaries expressed happiness at receiving the e-rickshaws and hoped that the initiative would help them earn a livelihood and improve their families’ financial well-being.

The provision of vehicles along with driving training is intended to help the women explore income-generating opportunities through local transport services. The initiative reflects an effort to equip rural women with the skills and resources needed to become financially self-reliant.
