Special Plea Bargaining Camp in Ranchi Resolves 55 Railway Cases and Collects ₹1.6 Lakh in Fines

Ranchi: The Ranchi Railway Court Complex hosted a special plea bargaining camp today under the direction of the DLSA Ranchi Civil Court. Key officials attended the event, including ACM III Shri Abhijeet Biswas, South Eastern Railway IPF Prosecution Cell In-charge Shri R.K. Singh, and Railway Protection Force officers from various regional stations like Hatia, Bano, Lohardaga, Muri, Patratu, and Barkakana.

A large number of people came to the camp to settle their legal issues, resulting in the successful resolution of 55 cases by the bench of Railway Magistrate Shri Vijay Kumar Yadav. The camp collected a total of ₹160,000 in fines and compensation, which included a ₹2,500 fine for Birsa Munda Jail inmate Kurban Ansari after he voluntarily confessed to a 2020 railway property theft case. This camp is a major part of the National Lok Adalat efforts, which will continue running through September 12, 2026.
