Grand Alumni Meet 2026 Celebrated at IHM Ranchi with Nostalgia, Inspiration, and Stronger Bonds

Ranchi: Institute of Hotel Management Ranchi hosted a grand Alumni Meet 2026, bringing together graduates from various batches for an evening filled with nostalgia, inspiration, and meaningful engagement.

The event commenced with a warm welcome to the alumni, followed by a traditional Ganesh Vandana performed by students. Dr. Bhupesh Kumar, principal felicitated distinguished alumni and addressed the gathering, emphasizing that alumni are the true ambassadors of the institution whose achievements bring pride and recognition. The event served as a vibrant platform for alumni to reconnect with their alma mater and with each other, while also mentoring and motivating current students through their professional journeys and life experiences.

Students from first and second year showcased a series of cultural performances, including dance and musical acts, which captivated the audience. The lively Bollywood-themed performances added energy and enthusiasm to the evening.

Dr. Bhupesh Kumar, principal, extended a warm welcome to all dignitaries and alumni, describing the occasion as truly special as it provided an opportunity to reconnect with former students. He emphasized that alumni are the true identity of the institution, and their achievements bring immense pride and recognition. He encouraged current students to learn from the experiences of alumni and use their insights to shape a better future. He also noted that the presence of alumni itself is a matter of pride for any institution.

Highlighting the institute’s journey since its establishment, Dr. Kumar shared its key achievements, including a consistent 100% placement record and recognition among the top hospitality institutes in the country. He further stated that the institution continues to scale new heights with each passing year. He reiterated that the institute remains committed to providing high-quality education, a supportive learning environment, and excellent career opportunities, without any compromise.

Dr. Anindita Bhardwaj, Head of Department, noted that alumni are the backbone of any institution. She stressed that their real-world insights and struggles serve as valuable guidance for students, strengthening the bridge between academic learning and industry expectations.

A souvenir was also released during the event. The vote of thanks was delivered by Mohit Kumar Singh, President of the Ranchi Hotel Trade Alumni Association.

The event concluded on a celebratory note with a cake-cutting ceremony, symbolizing unity and continued association. The evening stood out as more than just a reunion—it was a powerful exchange of ideas, inspiration, and enduring relationships.

The program was smoothly anchored by Final year student Mr. Aditya Kumar Singh and second year student Ms. Sanskriti Agrawal, ensuring an engaging and seamless experience for all attendees.
