Groundbreaking Ceremony for New 11-Classroom Building at Keshwari +2 High School – A Major Boost to Education in Bagodar

Bagodar: The foundation stone for an 11‑classroom building at Keshwari +2 High School in Saraiya block was laid today by Mr. Nagendra Mahto, MLA of Bagodar and Chief Whip. The ceremony, held on the school premises, was attended by local dignitaries, teachers, and a large gathering of villagers.

Addressing the assembly, MLA Nagendra Mahto said:
“Education is the cornerstone of development for any region. For years, students at Keshwari School have struggled due to a severe shortage of classrooms. This new building will provide a conducive learning environment, improve academic outcomes, and strengthen the school’s infrastructure.”

He sternly instructed the contractor to ensure zero tolerance for negligence, emphasizing that, quality and timely completion are non‑negotiable. He added that his priority for the Bagodar constituency includes education, roads, healthcare, and basic infrastructure — and pledged to continue working toward providing essential facilities to every school in the region.

Keshwari School already has a high student enrollment, but the lack of classrooms forced students to sit in cramped, makeshift spaces. The new building will not only resolve seating shortages but also enable expansion of labs, libraries, and other critical facilities.

MLA’s Response to Past Allegations:
In his speech, Mr. Mahto accused the previous MLA of conducting “sham groundbreaking ceremonies” without tender processes — merely touring the area to drum up votes. He asserted that the public has seen through these tactics and delivered a decisive verdict in the last election.
