CRPF jawan sustains  injury in IED blast in Saranda

Chaibasa: A CRPF jawan sustained injuries after Maoist exploded an IED during an encounter at Tirilposi in Saranda.
The encounter, according to a police official, took place during a search operation in the forest. 

“During the search operation being conducted by the security forces, an encounter took place between the Naxalites and the police. This encounter took place in Tirilposi of Saranda district. During the encounter, the Naxalites exploded an IED. A CRPF jawan sustained injuries in this blast. The injured jawan was being airlifted to Ranchi for treatment,” the police official said. 

Another police official said: “Top leaders of the Naxalite organization Misir Besra, Anmol, Mochu, Anal, Asim Mandal, Ajay Mahato, Sagen Angaria and Ashwin are roaming in Saranda and Kolhan area with their squad members for subversive activity. For which a continuous campaign is being run by the security forces. Meanwhile, on Monday, information was received that the top leader of the Naxalite organization, Ajay Mahato, was roaming in the Saranda area with his squad members. For which, a search operation has been started in the hilly and forest area around Guwa police station. The security forces foiled a big conspiracy of the Naxalites. During the operation being run on the instructions of SP Ashutosh Shekhar, the security forces demolished many old Naxal dumps.  This action was taken in the Husipi forest of Tonto police station area of the district. Where a country-made pistol, two carbines, a rifle, a ten-kg IED, 58 detonators and other items have been recovered from the Naxal dump. Earlier, these explosives and weapons were hidden by the Naxalites with the aim of targeting the security forces.”
