Jharkhand Janadhikar Mahasabha organises camp, creates political awareness among youths

Ranchi: The Jharkhand Janadhikar Mahasabha organised a two-day political youth training camp starting from February 27 at Bagaicha under Namkum block. Over 100 youth participants from Chatra, Latehar, Palamu, Bokaro, Ranchi, Simdega, West Singhbhum, Pakur, Lohardaga, Khunti, Manika, Hazaribagh, Gumla, Torpa, and Jamshedpur districts participated in this camp.

Objective of the camp was create political awareness

The main objective of this camp was to make the youth aware of the political conditions of Jharkhand besides developing leadership skills among them. Apart from this, the objective was to them familiar with the socio-political conditions of Jharkhand.

Brain behind camp
The camp was organized and conducted by Akanksha Bihaan, Alka Aind, Aman Marandi, Apoorva Gupta, Leena, Manoj Bhuiyan, Narayan Kandeyang and Riya Tulika Pingua. In the programme, prominent speakers like Elina Horo, Bahadur Oraon (Jharkhand activist and former MLA), Manthan, Sunita Lakra, Tony, Tom Kavala and Vinod addressed the youth to inspire them.

Sessions and key topics
• Gender sensitivity and youth relations: Conducted by Elina.
• History and movement of Jharkhand: Presented by Tony and Bahadur Oraon.
• Constitution, democracy and political elections: Explained by Sunita Lakra and Ramkovindra.
• Government schemes and provisions: Explained by Manoj and Vivek.
• Challenges of Jharkhand and political responsibility of youth: Group discussion was held among the participants.
In the last session of the camp, the participants discussed the political situation of Jharkhand, the role of youth leadership and social change. After the end of the session, a cultural evening was organized through folk songs and folk dances, in which all the participants participated enthusiastically.
