Security personnel recover and diffuse IED in Jharkhand forest

Ranchi: Jharkhand Police recovered and diffused an IED weighing 5 kg in Kolhan region.
A press statement issued by police informed this.

“Top leaders of the banned Naxalite organization Misir Besra, Anmol, Mochhu, Anal, Asim Mandal, Chaman, Ajay Mahato, Sagen Angriya, Ashwin along with their squad members are roaming in Kolhan area for destructive activity. In the light of which, a joint operation team of Chaibasa Police, Cobra 209 BN, 203 BN, Jharkhand Jaguar and CRPF 60 BN, 197 BN, 174 BN, 193 BN, 134 BN, 26 BN teams has been deployed and the operation is being conducted continuously. In this sequence, from 10.10.2023, a joint operation will be conducted in villages Kuida, Chhota Kuida, Maradiri, Meralgada, Hathiburu, border areas of Tilaybeda Boypaisang, Katamba, Bayhatu, Boroy, Lemsadih under Goilkera police station and villages Husipi, Rajabasa, Tumbahaka, Regada under Tonto police station. During the operation today on 09.12.2024, 01 (one) 1.E.D, previously planted by Naxalites for the purpose of targeting the security forces in the forest/hilly area between Chidiabeda and Patatorab under Tonto police station, was recovered and from security point of view at the same place it was disposed of with the help of the bomb disposal squad. The ongoing anti-Naxal campaign continues,” the press statement reads.
