X-category security to descendant of Veer Shaheed Sido-Kanhu

Ranchi: Union home ministry provided X category security to a descendant of Veer Shaheed Sido-Kanhu, Mandal Mumru, after Jharkhand police arrested three persons for threatening him of beheading.

Murmu, who joined BJP on November 4 after proposing as Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren as candidate from Barhait assembly constituency in this assembly election, was threatened on November 6 through social media.

Miscreant had announced Rs 50 lakh reward for beheading Murmu in Whatsapp group. As soon as the matter came into the knowledge of police in Dumka, it swung into action and arrested three youths involved in the crime.

Sensing the gravity of the situation, Mumru demanded his security from the state and union government. Finally he was provided X category security on Sunday.  The X category is a security detail of 2 personnel, with no commandos but only armed police personnel.
