BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo X message questions behaviours of Jharkhand minister Hafizul Hassan

Ranchi: BJP’s state spokesperson Pratul Shahdev, while posting on the social media platform X and tagging the Governor of Jharkhand, raised questions on Jharkhand government minister Hafizul Hasan saying ‘Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim’ before and during his oath, and wanted to know whether it is constitutionally, correct?

Pratul wrote that the oath is taken in the name of God or on truthfulness. Pratul wanted to know whether there is any provision in the Constitution for what the minister said during the oath. Pratul said that if there is no such provision, then the minister’s oath itself will be wrong and his ministerial position will be in danger.

Pratul shared the video of the oath taking and said that Minister Hafizur Rahman has also insulted the national anthem.

When the national anthem was playing after the oath taking, Minister Hafizul ji was adjusting his clothes and scarf in a very casual state. Pratul called it an insult to the national anthem and said that just think, just a short while ago, he had taken an oath of faith and loyalty to the Constitution. Calling it highly condemnable, Pratul demanded an apology from Minister Hafizul Hasan.
