RANCHI: In a major push toward regional sustainability and climate resilience, the Center for Environment and Energy Development (CEED) is set to launch the EKAM Dialogues: Samvaad se Nirmaan in Ranchi on April 8–9.The two-day leadership summit aims to bridge the gap between high-level policy and grassroots action, focusing on the resource-rich but ecologically vulnerable states of Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, and Odisha.
Under the theme of “oneness,” the platform seeks to align the region’s industrial and natural wealth with the national “Viksit Bharat 2047” vision.
From Dialogue to Co-Creation
Speaking on the initiative, Ramapati Kumar, CEO of CEED, emphasized that the region stands at a critical crossroads.
“EKAM Dialogues adopts a region-first lens. It is designed to move from Samvaad (dialogue) to Nirmaan (co-creation), integrating community wisdom with future-ready pathways for energy security and sustainable development,”Kumar stated.
“The event is not merely a technical seminar; it is designed as a cultural and intellectual melting pot. Organisers have confirmed that the convening will celebrate storytelling, art, and grassroots innovation as essential tools for shaping a resilient future,” he further said.

The summit boasts an impressive roster of participants, including:11 Padma Shri awardees and 27 celebrated changemakers.Over 70 experts and practitioners across 11 thematic sessions.A focus on EKAM Samman, an award ceremony dedicated to recognizing and amplifying the voices of grassroots heroes whose lived experiences often go unheard in mainstream discourse.

The primary objectives of the dialogues include advancing people-centered climate adaptation, strengthening sustainable livelihoods, and bridging the gap between modern technology and local needs.
