Governor Calls Upon Child Journalists to Become Partners in Positive Change at UNICEF’s Voices of Change Conclave
Ranchi: Governor of Jharkhand l Santosh Kumar Gangwar today addressed the ‘Voices of Change Conclave 2026’ organized by UNICEF at Hotel Radisson Blu, Ranchi.
Addressing the child journalists, the Governor called upon them to identify problems around them, ask the right questions and take positive initiatives for their solutions. He said when children express their views and bring issues related to society to the fore, they become partners in positive change. Their voice can also bring forth the problems of those children who do not get the opportunity to speak.
The Governor said that challenges like child marriage, child labour, malnutrition, deprivation from education, violence against children and ill-effects of climate change are still before us. For solving these problems, along with government efforts, change in thinking and behaviour of society is also necessary.
He urged the child journalists to verify facts while sharing news and information and to take care of the dignity and sensitivity of the persons concerned.
