Ranchi: The Installation Ceremony of the Interact Club of Taurian World School, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Ranchi South, Rotary International District 3250, was held today at Taurian World School with great enthusiasm and commitment towards developing young leaders through service.
The ceremony was conducted under the presidentship of Rtn. Raja Bagchi, President, Rotary Club of Ranchi South, in the presence of Vice President Dr. Suphal Ekka, Treasurer Rtn. Yogendra Sahu, Past President Rtn. S. K. Giri, and Rtn. Shailendra Misra, Member of the Club and Principal of Taurian World School.
The newly appointed Interact members took their oath and formally pledged themselves to the ideals of Rotary and community service. The pinning ceremony of the new Interact members and office-bearers was also conducted, marking the beginning of a new chapter of youth leadership and service at the school.
The newly installed Interact Club leadership for the 2026–27 session includes Pratik Pandey as President, Shivi Choudhary as Vice President, Harshnika Modi as Secretary and Anay Jhunjhunwala as Treasurer. The team also includes directors and chairs responsible for Club Service, Community Service, International Service, Vocational Service, Public Relations, Sports & Cultural activities and Digital Media. Ms. Stuti Guria has been appointed as Advisor/Teacher-in-Charge.
During the programme, Rtn. Rathin Bhadra, Executive Secretary, Rotary Club of Ranchi South and Chairman – WASH, Rotary International District 3250, gave a brief presentation on Rotary International, the Rotary movement and the role of Interact Clubs. He highlighted the importance of young people taking responsibility for creating positive change in society and emphasised Rotary’s guiding principle of “Service Above Self.”
The message of “Service Above Self” was reiterated by the newly installed Interact Club President, reflecting the commitment of the young members towards service, leadership, education and community development.
The formation of the club on 8 September, International Literacy Day, added special significance to the occasion. The Interact Club is expected to provide students with opportunities to develop leadership qualities while undertaking meaningful community-service initiatives in association with Rotary.
Ms. Stuti Guria, Coordinator/Teacher-in-Charge of the Interact Club, played an important role in facilitating the formation of the club, with the support and encouragement of the school Principal and Rotary Club of Ranchi South.
The Rotary Club of Ranchi South expressed confidence that the newly formed Interact Club will become a strong platform for nurturing responsible, compassionate and service oriented young leaders and will contribute meaningfully to the community in the years ahead.
