Adani Foundation hosts job fair in Barkagaon, over 200 youths participated

Police In–charge inaugurates event; shortlisting of candidates underway

Barkagaon (Hazaribagh). Adani Foundation on Tuesday organised a large-scale job fair in Barkagaon, drawing participation from more than 200 local youths. The fair was inaugurated by Krishna Kumar Gupta, Officer-in-Charge of Barkagaon police station, who urged young job seekers to make the most of such opportunities. He stressed that every Adani project creates employment avenues, and local talent should leverage them to build a stronger future.

During the event, Pundarik Mishra, Project Head of Gondulpara mining project, explained the provisions of the R&R Policy and the Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. He also announced that Adani Foundation plans to set up a school, hospital and skill training centre in the region to enhance education, healthcare and livelihood opportunities for the community.


The fair saw the submission of over 200 CVs, which are currently under review. Foundation officials said shortlisting will be based on candidates’ qualification, experience and skills, while priority will be given to displaced families, project-affected households and nearby villagers. The job opportunities span across Adani’s projects in Mundra (Gujarat), Singrauli (Madhya Pradesh), Patna, Andhra Pradesh and Pune, among others.

Available positions include Container Mobility Operators, HMV Drivers and Solar Operators. Selected candidates will not only receive a monthly salary but also enjoy benefits such as Employee Provident Fund (EPF), annual medical check-ups, subsidised meals, housing facilities and performance incentives.

In addition to career opportunities, villagers were briefed on Adani Foundation’s ongoing CSR initiatives, which cover education, healthcare and livelihood enhancement. These include free ambulance services, nutrition kits for TB patients, eye and health camps, scholarships and academic support that have benefitted large numbers of residents in Barkagaon over the years.

The programme was attended by Security Head Amit Kole, DGM Rajesh Verma, CSR Head Mohit Gupta, retired DSP Jitendra Dubey, Deputy Manager Santosh Tiwari, HR Lead Lakshmikant, Admin Officer Mithilesh Kumar Sinha and several villagers.
