Jamshedpur: The Transformational School of Business (TSB), Mumbai, organised a seminar on Holistic Education Through Transformational Learnings for the principals and directors at Hotel Boulevard in Bishtupur.
Key people from education and administrative fields were also invited to the programme to take advantage. Key note speaker of the programme was Navin K Choudhary, an author of the book “You Are a Born Winner,” ex-IIT ISM, and ex-Tata GT and Lafarge manager, who has trained 1000s of people in Mumbai for success and had come to support the teachers and parents.
Choudhary explained the meaning and the methods of causing transformation. He suggested blending the existing informational learnings available in the curriculum. He also talked about providing opportunity for the counselling and his mentoring sessions for the benefit of the students.
“There are many students who fail, and for that we cannot blame them fully, as we cannot be sure that our education system is foolproof. Including this transformational learning, these students and parents can also be sure that their child can do better and become an asset for the society by finding out their core competency and strength,” Choudhary said.
He also informed participants about imparting training to teachers. “We can also impart training to teachers on this subject by introducing the book, “You Are a Born Winner,” into the syllabus for mass transformation and holistic education. We want to have this kind of free seminar for principals in all towns of Jharkhand, Bihar, and the eastern part of India as a focus under our Viksit Bharat Abhiyan,” he said.
Three coordinators for the Tata chapter were elected to support all the principals to be part of this principals conclave so that they get themselves empowered and enabled. They included Sharmila Mukherjee of Kerala Public School (KPS), Kadma; Aman Kumar Nirala from Xavier School, Tamolia; and D. Sonali from KPS Golmuri. The principals and founder reiterated their resolve to transform the education system of India.
Before the workshop started, it came to the fore that one of the major problems faced by schools was the failure rate in Class 8, the only check gate to screen students. It was told that the percentage of children who fail is as much as 25% or more. On this the speaker offered his support at minimum or no cost based on the principal’s recommendation for the child from the underprivileged section.
It also came to fore that many talented students also do not know what their core competencies are. On which the speaker released the link to the chapter-wise video of the book “You Are a Born Winner.” The link is www.hrscore.in/academic.aspx, which will help all students across the country free of cost.
