Ranchi: Sarala Birla University organised an expert talk on “Emotional and Behavioral Issues in Youth” on Friday.
The programme was aimed at creating awareness about the mental health of students and promoting their psychological development. On this occasion, renowned clinical psychologist Dr. Bhumika Sachar was present as the keynote speaker.
In her address, she discussed stress, depression, social media impact and mental challenges of youth with the audience and suggested solutions for them. After this, students and faculty members participated in the interactive session, where they asked Dr. Sachar several questions related to mental health.
The expert talk programme concluded in the presence of SBU’s Director General Gopal Pathak and Vice Chancellor Prof. C. Jaganathan.
Those present on the occasion included Dr. V. Samanta, Dr. Alok Kumar, Dr. R.K. Singh, Mrs. Anjali Mishra and other teachers and non-teaching staff of the university. Komal Gupta, in-charge of the Law Department, delivered the welcome address and Rajiv Ranjan proposed the vote of thanks.
University vice chancellor Bijay Kumar Dalan and Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Pradeep Kumar Verma sent their best wishes for the organization of this programme.
