Acadmic documents of CUJ staff under scanner

Ranchi: Academic documents of a Central University of Jharkhand Junior Engineer Preeti Raj, working on contract basis, have come under scanner after a Bariatu resident Kumar Pankaj informed Raj Bhawan about the fraudulent ways she adopted to obtain degrees and certificates she used to get jobs.

“University received a letter dated 16.01.2025 along of with the complaint letter of Kumar Pankaj Anand, Bariatu dated 04.01.2025 from Raj Bhawan in which direction has been given to enquire into from the matter and submit the fact finding report of Vice Chancellor, Ranchi University, VC, JUT and Chairman JAC. After the letter reached university the matter was placed before the council members for needful direction. The committee decided to hold the distribution of the Original Degree Certificate of Miss Preeti Raj during pendency of inquiry into the complainant received against her,” a JUT insider said.

On the content of complaint, the insider said: “It has been alleged that Raj completed two regular courses, Intermediate Diploma and and M.Tech simultaneously while working at CUJ in connivance with the class teacher. Apart from this she is studying in regular mode from Jharkhand Technology University Ranchi in the session 2024-25 under the supervision of PhD CS & IT, Guide – Shalini Mahato – NIAMT.”
