NSUI expresses concern over reappointment of SK Singh as IMS director

Ranchi: A NSUI delegation met Ranchi University vice chancellor (VC) Ajit Kumar Sinha and raised their objection taking reappointment of Dr Shyam Krishna Singh as IMS director.

The deleggation led by NSUI state vice president Aman Ahmad said that the new IMS director who has been appointed has also been the IMS director in the past and his age is about 72 years. He said many incidents have come to light during his tenure around 2013 and those a thorough probe is required to be done in those incidents.

“Coordinator Chaturaaj and Professor Amit were beaten up, girls were mistreated, the dignity of the entire campus was violated  during his previous tenure. He was also accused of misbehaving with women and girl students. This should not happen this time,” Ahmed told VC Sinha.

The delegation threatened VC of knocking Raj Bhawan’s door in case probe is not done in the incidents taken place in his previous tenure.

VC respondened positively to the demand.

Student leaders like Prince Raj, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Gulshan Singh etc. were present on the occasion.
