WPA pays tribute to Fr Stan Swamy at Manresa House

Ranchi: Working People’s Alliance (WPA) on Friday paid emotional tribute to Father Stan Swamy on his third death anniversary at WPA office (Manresa House) in the heart of Jharkhand capital.

Former TAC member Ratan Tirkey, present on the occasion, remembered the Jesuit priest for his sacrifice for the lower strata of the society.

“Stan Swamy fought for the constitutional rights of tribals, Dalits and backward classes till his death.  His untimely demise remained unfortunate for Jharkhand. He is remembered across the country today because he always considered the country’s constitution supreme and kept fighting and raising his voice against tyranny, exploitation and oppression,” Tirkey said.
