RANCHI: In a major push toward securing India’s digital sports future, the eighth edition of the CyberPeace E-Sports League (CEL 8.0) concluded successfully at the Level7 restaurant in Ranchi. Organized in association with IDFC First Bank, the high-energy Free Fire squad tournament aimed to foster a safe, responsible, and inclusive gaming culture among youth, aligning with the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
The Competition
* Scale: 48 elite e-gamers participated.
* Format: 12 competitive squads faced off.
* Game: Intense Free Fire tactical rounds.
* Entry: Accessible squad fee of ₹599.
The Winners
* Champions: ZFX Esports won ₹3,999 and a Certificate of Excellence.
* Runners-Up: Team Achievers secured ₹2,499 and a certificate.
* Third Place: United Eternals claimed ₹1,499 and a certificate.
Focus on Cyber Resilience
The tournament combined competitive skill with critical awareness regarding cybersecurity, digital responsibility, and online safety.
Kumar Saurabh, Chief Manager of IDFC First Bank Ranchi, emphasized the bank’s commitment to empowering young individuals through platforms that encourage skill development alongside responsible digital engagement.
Maj. Vineet Kumar, Founder and Global President of CyberPeace, noted that gaming is highly influential for teenagers. He stated that embedding values of cybersecurity and digital citizenship is essential to building a resilient digital future as the nation moves toward 2047.
Future Outlook
Following strong participant and spectator response in Ranchi, there is growing demand to expand the league. CyberPeace plans to introduce future tournament editions, awareness programs, and safety campaigns to additional Indian cities to continue building the next generation of responsible digital citizens.
