Deputy Commissioner Nitish Kumar Singh Inaugurates ‘AQUALINE BHUVANAM – Pani Ki Kheti’ to Bolster Water Conservation

Saraikela–Kharsawan: In a significant move toward sustainable water management, deputy commissioner Nitish Kumar Singh (IAS) officially inaugurated the AQUALINE BHUVANAM – Pani Ki Kheti project at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV), Saraikela.

This innovative pilot project, spearheaded by the District Administration, focuses on rainwater harvesting and groundwater recharge to ensure a steady supply of clean water for students while addressing the region’s declining water table.

Key Highlights of the Initiative:

Scientific Conservation: Rainwater will be collected and recharged into the ground using specialized technology to improve local soil moisture and ecological balance.

Empowering Farmers:
DC Nitish Kumar Singh noted that the technology will be extended to tribal communities and farmers to ensure year-round water availability for agriculture, boosting the rural economy.

Call for Innovation: Addressing the students, the DC urged them to transition from “job seekers to job creators,” encouraging a mindset of entrepreneurship and resource-based innovation.

Administrative Support: The District Administration plans to scale this environmentally friendly model across other parts of the district following its successful implementation.

The event saw the presence of project founders Rtn. Raja Bagchi and Rtn. Rathin Bhadra, along with the District Education Officer and representatives from the Indian Startup Association.
