Virat Hindu Sammelan in Ranchi Calls for Unity and Social Harmony; Thousands Attend Grand Event at Chutia Ram Temple

Ranchi: A grand Virat Hindu Sammelan was organized today with deep devotion and massive public participation at the Shri Ram Temple premises in Shri Ram Nagar, Chutia. The conference, attended by thousands from Ranchi and neighboring areas, aimed to bolster social harmony, cultural awareness, and national spirit within the community.

Grand Procession and Vedic Beginnings
The event kicked off with a vibrant Kalash Yatra, featuring a large number of women carrying sacred pots. In a display of traditional fervor, the Mahant of Hanuman Garhi (Ayodhya), Shri Raju Das Ji, and the Mahant of the Chutia Ram Temple were escorted to the venue on a ceremonial chariot, accompanied by traditional music. The formal proceedings commenced with Vedic chanting and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp.

Messages of Unity: “Sangachhadhwam Samvadadhwam”
Addressing the gathering, the Mahant of the Chutia Ram Temple emphasized that the assembly was a symbol of an organized Hindu society. Invoking the Vedic mantra “Sangachhadhwam Samvadadhwam,” he remarked: “Walking together and working collectively toward a common goal is the true strength of our society. In these times, unity within Sanatan society is paramount.”

RSS Centenary and Cultural Self-Respect

Raju Das, Mahant of Hanuman Garhi, linked the conference to the centenary year of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He highlighted the organization’s century-long commitment to patriotism and cultural preservation. Referring to the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, he described it as a “symbol of cultural self-respect” and informed that similar conferences are being organized in nearly one lakh villages across India.

The “Panch Parivartan” and Social Reform
The organization’s Sah-Sarkaryavah, Shri Alok Ji, delivered a profound address on the importance of overcoming internal divisions. Drawing parallels from the Mahabharata, he stated that disunity leads to defeat. He urged the eradication of untouchability, citing the legacies of Sant Ravidas and Maharishi Valmiki to prove that devotion transcends birth-based distinctions.

He introduced the concept of “Panch Parivartan” (Five Transformations):
Social Harmony: Ending discrimination.
Family Awareness: Reviving dialogue and values within the home.
Environmental Protection: Restoring Ranchi’s ecological balance.
Self-Reliance: Promoting local growth.
Responsible Citizenship: Adhering to constitutional duties.

Cultural Highlights and Participation
The event featured a stirring cultural performance by children depicting the bravery of Rani Lakshmibai, alongside a drama on contemporary social issues.

The conference saw the presence of various organizations, including the Gayatri Parivar, Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), and Hindu Jagran Manch. Notable attendees included Giridhari Lal Mahto, Mithileshwar Mishra, Vijay Kumar, and Vibhag Pracharak Mantu Ji, among many others.
