Giridih: Deputy commissioner Ram Niwas Yadav on Tuesda held weekly Public Hearing (Janata Darbar) at his office chamber, where hundreds of citizens from across the district came forward to present their personal and social grievances. He listened to each one of them attentively and directed the concerned officers to take appropriate action on every application submitted during the hearing.
A total of 52 applications were received today, covering issues such as:
– Land disputes
– Pension matters
– Family-related problems
– Employment
– Social security
– Housing
– Ration cards
– And other welfare schemes
He gave serious consideration to every case and resolved several matters on the spot. I instructed the officers of relevant departments to handle each application with sensitivity and promptness, so that the public does not have to face unnecessary hardship.
He directed to uploaded on the *Jan Samadhan Portal within the stipulated deadline*. This portal has been specifically designed to ensure quick redressal of public grievances and to keep citizens informed about the status of their cases online.
He reiterated that listening to the people’s problems and resolving them within a fixed timeframe is the core responsibility of the administration. He emphasized that the Janata Darbar serves as a vital bridge of communication between the government and the common citizen — not only does it enable direct resolution of issues, but also strengthens public trust in the administrative system.
He directed all Circle Officers to schedule one fixed day per week for conducting Janata Darbar in their respective jurisdictions and to ensure timely disposal of land-related cases.
