DLSA Secretary calls for de-addiction campaign 

Ranchi: District Legal Service Authority (DLSA) secretary Kamlesh Behra on Friday asked Para-Legal Volunteers (PLV) to create awareness among the villagers by running a de-addiction campaign among the villagers.

 

He asked them to tell people about the physical, mental and financial harm caused by drug addiction.

 

“Poisonous beverages are also being used, due to which young children in our society are getting addicted to drugs, if this is not stopped now than it can take a serious form in the future.   We all have to be aware and run awareness campaigns against drug abuse in every street and locality so that people, villagers and children know the ill effects of drug abuse and keep their families and children away from any kind of drug addiction,” he said.

 

The meeting was organised according to the Jharkhand Legal Services Authority (JHALSA) calendar. Around 50 working PLVs were present in the meeting organised at DLSA Hall. During the meeting works done by PLVs were reviewed and they were given more guidelines to better their best.

 

DALSA Secretary Behra on the occasion also asked the PLVs attached to the Legal-Aid-Clinic to work as per Jhalsa calendar and will provide maximum benefits to the beneficiaries.  He also asked them to identify the victimized women who have not received compensation and submit their applications to the DLSA office and help the beneficiaries in providing compensation.

 

“Inform the needy about the District Legal Services Authority and tell them in detail about the beneficial schemes provided by the government, so that the poor people can avail the benefits,” the DLSA secretary directed.
He on the occasion also asked to make people aware about the upcoming Lok Adalat and said that as far as possible they should make people aware by putting up posters and banners in the Legal-Aid Clinic, so that more and more cases can be disposed of in the upcoming Lok Adalat. Can go.

 

In the meeting apart from DLSA Secretary Behera, Chief Legal Aid Defense Council Praveen Srivastava, Deputy Chief Legal Aid Defense Council. Rajesh Kumar Sinha, Member Child Welfare Committee Priyaranjan Kumar were present with PLVs.
