JC inspects RINPAS and Birsa Munda Central Jail

Ranchi: Judicial commissioner (JC) Diwakar Pandey today inspected Ranchi Institute of Neuro Psychiatry and Allied Science (RINPAS) and Birsa Munda Central Jail.

JC listened to patients 

 

 

At RINPAS he listened to the problems of the patients after visiting women’s wards. Some patients presented their problems, and the judicial commissioner instructed them to note down the problem for its early solution.
The places the judicial commissioner visited included room and kitchen besides other places. In the kitchen the JC took information about the food given to the patients and also took information from the doctors and staff appointed in the hospital for the care of the patients.
JC suggested improvement in vocational training 

 

JC also collected information about the training programme given to make the patients self-reliant and appreciated the same saying it was a positive experiment for the patients and instructed the hospital administration to do it in a better way.

 

After inspecting the Legal Aid Center in RINPAS run by the District Legal Services Authority, Ranchi, he took information regarding the work done by para-legal volunteers (PLV).

 

Those who remained present during the inspection included DLSA secretary Kamlesh Behera, Registrar Civil Court Ranchi, RINPAS director Dr. Jayati Simlai, besides RINPAS doctors and PLV Bharti Devi, and Sarada Devi.

 

 

Everyone has full right to express the views: JC

 

After RINPAS the JC inspected Birsa Munda Central Jail in Hotwar and asked to share their problem with the court.
“Everyone has the full right to express their views, those who have any kind of problem can contact the court and present their problem,” he said.

 

A legal awareness camp was organised in the jail, where he listened to the problems of the prisoners and said that the prisoners who have been granted bail and are not able to fulfill the conditions of the bail bond can apply to the District Legal Services Authority, Ranchi for change in the conditions.
For those prisoners whose appeal is pending, instructions were given to send their application for appeal to the high court as soon as possible.
JC inspected the prison cell and also inspected the school, painting training room and computer training room. He expressed his pleasure over the work and gave instructions for improvement.
