RKDF University awards 636 degrees ‘on second convocation ceremony

Ranchi: The second convocation ceremony of RKDF University concluded on Saturday at its Namkum campus amid presence of Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ) vice chancellor Kshiti Bhusan Das, Mecon CMD Sanjay Kumar Verma and special secretary cum advisor of state agriculture, animal husbandry and cooperative department Pradeep Kumar Hazari.

University vice chancellor Professor (Dr.) Suchitangshu Chatterjee, honoured the PhD, PG, and UG students of the 2025 batch for their outstanding achievements. 636 degrees were awarded to PhD, postgraduate, undergraduate, and diploma students, and 16 students were also awarded gold medals.

The programme began with the lighting of the lamp and Ganesh Vandana.

Do not measure success by money: RKDF vice chancellor Dr Suchitangshu Chatterjee

Welcoming the guest RKDF university vice chancellor Chatterjee congratulated the students on their remarkable success and said that they should uphold the values ​​of the institution.

“You should develop the ability to introspect and connect with the world. Do not measure success by wealth. Your success lies in the people you will help, in the positive changes you will bring to society. Do not measure success by money,” VC Chatterjee said.

VC Chaterjee expressed his hope that the students receiving degrees from here will not be job seekers but job creators.

“Education is not merely a means of acquiring knowledge; it is also a crucial pillar of confidence and character building. Everything you have learned during this journey of knowledge is not limited to your degree alone, but has become an integral part of your personality. You will face many challenges in the future. At such times, I urge you to remain calm and face them with determination,” VC Chaterjee said.

On the occasion CUJ VC Das said that there is no shortcut to success. “Success is achieved when you strive and work hard. This success is not only the result of your hard work and dedication, but also a significant contribution of the unwavering support and guidance of your parents, guardians, and teachers. I wholeheartedly respect all those who have brought you this far by dedicating their time, sacrifice, and love,” Das said.

Character is the greatest asset of a person: Pradeep Kumar Hazari.

The Guest of Honour Hazari, said that this is a day when achievements give rise to possibilities. He emphasized the importance of continuous hard work, willpower, and a positive attitude and advised the youth to maintain honesty and discipline in every aspect of life.

“Character is the greatest asset of a person. It is the foundation of the future. An ideal character leads individuals to their destination. He said that today’s era is highly competitive, so young people should be prepared and seize every opportunity to move forward,” he said.

Mecon CMD Verma expressed his hope that the student receiving the degree will contribute to nation building. “I hope that the students would contribute to nation-building and utilize their knowledge and skills for the development of society,” he said in his address.

RKDF University director general manager Dr. B.N. Singh, appealed to students to set their goals and contribute in building a better society and nation.

Use your knowledge and skills not only to achieve success in your careers but also to contribute to building a better society and nation,” Singh said.

University registrar Amit Kumar Pandey, while proposing the vote of thanks, expressed his happiness for having a campus for the university.

“It is very difficult to believe that the dream we had envisioned is now coming true. The idea of ​​establishing an educational institution is truly inspiring for us; it was planted as a sapling 7 years ago and today it has grown into a large tree. Today, I see before me exceptional and bright students and their parents. The education you have received today will help you move forward in life, and never stop the process of learning. Today is a moment of immense pride and joy for all of us. Today, all the students are beginning a new chapter in their lives after achieving a significant milestone. The second convocation ceremony concluded with the closing remarks by the Vice-Chancellor of the university. The programme was conducted by Professor Amit Jha of the Law Department. Faculty members and staff from all departments of the university were present at this second convocation ceremony.
