Chatra: The Indumati Tibrewal School organised Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of tirbal icon Birsa Munda and the 25th anniversary of the founding of Jharkhand.
The program was inaugurated by garlanding the statue of Lord Birsa Munda and lighting a lamp jointly by Principal Ramesh Kumar Singh, Incharge Ayodhya Prasad Singh, Sunil Singh, Chandramohan Mishra, Dr. Uday Pandey, Ramavtar Mishra, and Shivnandan Sharma.
The brothers and sisters of Vatika, Shishu Mandir, and Vidya Mandir sections gave an emotional presentation on the personality and works of Lord Birsa Munda, the great hero of the freedom struggle.
The children presented traditional Jharkhandi dances, highlighting Jharkhand’s cultural heritage, which filled the atmosphere with the colors of tribal culture.
The children also gave speeches and captivating presentations in Khortha, Hindi, and English, highlighting the life of Birsa Munda, his contributions, and his role in the creation of modern Jharkhand.
The Principal stated that the main objective of this programme was to instill pride in the tribal heroes, respect for the culture, and strengthen Jharkhand’s identity. Through this event, the school family paid tribute to the indomitable courage, sacrifice, and struggle of Ulgulan Birsa Munda.
