Indian Startup Association Submits Key Recommendations to CAG Office for Strengthening Startup Ecosystem

Ranchi: A delegation from the Indian Startup Association (ISUA) led by Rathin Bhadra, National President, and Raja Bagchi, National Treasurer, held a detailed consultation meeting with *senior officials of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India, represented by the Director, CAG and Mr. Naskar, Deputy Accountant General (AG), Jharkhand.

During the meeting, the ISUA presented a comprehensive set of suggestions and observations focusing on the financial, audit, and compliance challenges faced by startups across India, with special emphasis on Jharkhand’s emerging startup ecosystem.

The discussions covered key aspects including:

Simplification of audit processes and financial reporting norms for early-stage startups.

Transparent evaluation and recognition of government supported innovation programs.

Inclusion of startup-specific parameters in public procurement and audit frameworks.

Collaboration between audit authorities and startup associations for financial literacy and accountability initiatives.

Representatives from ICA, JFCC, ASSOCHAM, and senior officials from the AG Office also participated in the meeting, sharing valuable insights and support for the startup fraternity.

Mr. Rathin Bhadra, National President of ISUA, emphasized the importance of bridging the gap between innovation and regulation, stating that:

> “India’s startup ecosystem thrives when compliance becomes a partner in growth, not a barrier. Our joint engagement with CAG marks a step toward an accountable yet enabling governance framework.”

The Indian Startup Association expressed gratitude to the CAG Office for their openness to dialogue and constructive collaboration aimed at fostering a more transparent and efficient environment for Indian startups.
