IHM Ranchi Shares the Light of Empathy on World Sight Day

A heartfelt initiative with visually impaired children from Amar Jyoti School, Chanho

Ranchi: On the occasion of World Sight Day, the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Ranchi took a compassionate step beyond classrooms by hosting a special lunch for 60 visually impaired students from Amar Jyoti School, Chanho. The event, organized at the institute’s training restaurant Paahi Mokhana, featured an exclusive Goan cuisine menu specially curated and served by IHM students.

The initiative aimed to sensitize budding hospitality professionals towards inclusivity and social responsibility. The students not only served the children but also engaged in meaningful interactions, games, and cultural exchanges that turned the afternoon into a celebration of empathy and joy.

Principal Dr. Bhupesh Kumar expressed that world Sight Day reminds us that true vision lies in sensitivity and inclusion. Spending time with these children was an emotional and enlightening experience for all of us. IHM Ranchi remains committed to upholding its social responsibility and inspiring students to serve society with compassion.
