Ranchi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sah-Sarkaryavah Alok Kumar addressing a group of committed swayamsevaks and citizens at Kokar Nagar after a route march and ‘Shastra Pujan’ organised keeping 100 year completion of the organisation on the Vijaya Dashmi suggested five-fold path for the swayamsevaks to tranformation the society in coming 15 to 20 years to build a strong, self reliant and harmonous nation.
The five fold path included Social Harmony, Environmental Balance, Family Enlightenment , Swadeshi and Citizenship Duties.
Social Harmony – Complete Eradication of Untouchability
He called for eliminating caste-based discrimination and untouchability not just in practice but also in thought and spirit. “Until the last person in society truly experiences equality, the vision of a harmonious nation remains incomplete,” he emphasized.
Environmental Balance – Nurturing Sensitivity Toward Nature
Expressing concern over ecological imbalance, Alok stressed the need for clean air, safe drinking water, tree plantation drives, and *prevention of food wastage. “Protecting the environment is not merely the government’s duty; it is the shared responsibility of every citizen,” he said.
Family Enlightenment—Strengthening the Institution of Family
Calling the family the fundamental unit of society, he appealed for ‘mutual respect, open communication and unity’ within households. “Sensitive, value-oriented and strong families are the true foundation of a strong nation,” he remarked.
Swadeshi—Reinforcing Self-Reliance
Highlighting the use of indigenous goods, he underlined that ‘Vocal for Local’ must be a way of life, not just a slogan. “Importing items that can be made in India is self defeating,” he cautioned.
Citizenship Duties – Awareness Before Rights
He reminded that a responsible citizen performs ‘duties first’, with rights following as a natural outcome. “We must recognise our responsibilities in education, security, cleanliness and other areas,” he noted.
Vijayadashami Message – Symbol of the Triumph of Good over Evil
Linking his address to the spirit of Vijayadashami, Shri Alok Kumar recalled how Goddess Durga vanquished Mahishasura and Lord Ram destroyed Ravan’s arrogance. “In the same way, we must overcome inner arrogance, ignorance and negativity, and channel our knowledge, power and wealth for the welfare of society,” he said.
Door-to-Door Outreach – Next Phase of Social Awakening
He announced a campaign where swayamsevaks will go door-to-doornto promote education, patriotism, disaster management and social awareness. “Reaching every household to awaken national consciousness is the Sangh’s objective,” he affirmed.
Shastra Poojan and Path Sanchalan – A Blend of Tradition and Discipline
