Birsa Munda Airport, Ranchi Celebrates Yatri Seva Diwas

Ranchi: The Airports Authority of India (AAI), at its airports across the nation, celebrated Yatri Seva Diwas on Wednesday as part of its ongoing commitment to passenger delight and community engagement. The event aimed at welcoming passengers and creating an interactive and memorable travel experience that reflects AAI’s customer focus and service-oriented approach.

At Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi, the celebrations began with a warm welcoming ceremony, where passengers were greeted with tika and offered the opportunity to click photographs at specially designed standees and selfie points inside the terminal. As part of its focus on environmental responsibility, Ranchi airport also organized a plantation drive to promote a greener future. Complimentary health check-up kiosks was also set up in the Security Hold Area inside Terminal Building, allowing passengers to avail themselves of free medical check-up for blood sugar and BP etc.

To showcase the rich cultural heritage of Jharkhand, traditional dance and singing performances were held throughout the day for the enjoyment and inclusion of passengers, creating a festive atmosphere throughout the day. The airport team documented the passenger flow and airport activities through creative pictures and video reels to engage travelers and highlight the various facilities available as well as the airport experience for them.

Interactive activities such as quizzes and painting competitions were also organized for young passengers, ensuring that families traveling through the airport have a fun and engaging experience. As a mark of appreciation, chocolate boxes and special gifts were distributed to participating children and cultural performers.

Students from nearby schools were invited to the airport, and a guided tour of all areas of the airport will be provided for them, followed by a career guidance program where senior officers from various disciplines will brief them about the nature of opportunities in aviation for aspiring students.

Yatri Seva Diwas was more than just a celebration—it was an opportunity for AAI to connect with passengers, enhance their travel experience, take their feedback, work on improvements, and reaffirm AAI’s focus on service with care.”
