Every moment of our lives should be dedicated to the service of Bharat Mata. Chitra Tai Joshi

Ranchi: Rashtra Savika Samiti (RSS) Akhil Bharatiya Sah Karyawahika Chitra Tai Joshi, while addressing the valedictory function of the 15-day residential leadership training programme of 225 sevikas at Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, Dhurwa, asked budding leaders to devote each work to Bharat Mata.

“Bharat Mata is the very essence of our existence. She fulfills our physical, intellectual, and spiritual needs. Every moment of our lives should be dedicated to her service,” Joshi said.

She highlighted a *special focus of this year’s camp — the 300th birth anniversary of Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar, calling her a beacon of selfless service, righteousness, and ideal governance.

“Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar was a saintly queen whose legacy will inspire generations. She revitalized India’s cultural soul by restoring sacred pilgrimage sites such as Kashi Vishwanath, Prayagraj, Rameshwaram, Somnath, and Mathura. Her contributions toward women’s security, dignity, and empowerment* remain timeless lessons for modern India,” she said.

In the same spirit, she paid homage to *Maharani Durgavati*, whose heroism was also prominently remembered during the camp. “Rani Durgavati sacrificed her life defending her motherland against invaders. Her valour is a shining symbol of courage, self-respect, and patriotism. Her life reminds us that women’s strength is integral to the defense and dignity of our nation.”

Chief Guest of the programme, retired director general of Jharkhand Police, Nirmal Kaur*, applauded the participants, noting, “This training initiative by Rashtriya Sevika Samiti is a powerful model for *nation-building through character-building. It cultivates disciplined, ethical, and socially committed* citizens.”

The camp also held intensive discussions and practices on *national service, civic responsibility, social harmony, promotion of indigenous products, and environmental awareness. The camp’s chief instructor was Manu Shri.

A highlight of the training was the *grand route march (Path Sanchalan)* held on *6th June, where Sevikas, in full uniform, paraded through the city. The march, beginning from the school campus and passing through Durga Mandir and Bus Stand, was met with cheers and flower showers* from the public, symbolizing widespread community support and admiration.
Throughout the duration of the camp, around 14 instructors and 10 state-level officials were consistently present to guide the Sevikas. The training sessions were enriched by the guidance of esteemed national-level leaders — Sunita Haldekar and Neeta Ba — with continuous mentorship from *Padma Devi*, the ‘Kshetriya Sampark Pramukh’.
The *valedictory celebration* witnessed a gathering of *over 2,000 attendees* from across society — including educators, intellectuals, social leaders, women’s organizations, and the general public — making it a memorable community event.

Prominent dignitaries from Rashtriya Sevika Samiti included Usha Singh (Prant Sanchalika), Sharda Gupta (Prant Karyawahika), and Dr. Tripula Das (Prant Sah Karyawahika). Nirmala Singh (Prant Sampark Pramukh), Poonam Singh, Jigyasa Ojha, Shalini Sachdev, Rita Singh, *Suman Sinha Ji, Ganita Jha Ji, Kusumlata Singh Ji, Jay Shri Kujur. Sudha Prajapati and Aparna Singh.
