BJP takes out an Akrosh march, demands resignation.
Ranchi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) took out a grand outrage march from Shahid Chowk to Raj Bhawan on Thursday against the alleged anti-constitutional statement of Jharkhand government minister Hafizul Hasan. A large number of workers participated in the outrage march led by BJP Legislative Party leader Babulal Marandi and Union Minister of State Sanjay Seth.
BJP workers registered their protest with party flags in their hands and slogans like Sharia law nay chalto in the state. BJP leaders called the statement of Minister Hafizul Hasan anti-constitutional. They said that such statements are not only against democratic values but also endanger social harmony.
BJP demanded that the governor intervene in the matter and strict action be taken against the minister. BJP leaders said that the state government should clarify whether it supports such statements or not. He said that India is governed by the Constitution, and it is wrong for any minister to consider Shariat above the Constitution. Such a minister has no right to remain in office, and he should resign immediately. The BJP warned that if the minister is not removed from the cabinet, the movement will be expanded. Meanwhile, tight security arrangements were made in the city during the march.
