NSUI knocks VC’s door to put a check on RU teachers’ arbitariness

Ranchi: A delegation of Jharkhand unit of NSUI on Thursday met Ranchi University vice chancellor and expressed its concern over the harassing attitude of PG department teachers.

Organisation’s state vice president Aman Ahmed raising issue of irregularities maintained in awarding marks for desertaton project report for semester-4 students let the vice chancellor know that PG department teachers have kept 100 marks in their hands contrary to existing rule which allows them only to keep only 70 marks in their hand and allow external to take decision on 30 marks.

Apart from this, Ahmed also let the VC know that PG department teachers instead of going to colleges with 50 or more honours students for Viva-Voce call students in the department for the same work contrary to the existing rule. Apart from this, they also do not allow the concerned college to take decision on 70 marks.

Vice Chancellor Dr. Ajit Kumar Sinha took the matter seriously and directed the Controller of Examinations, Dr. Vikas Kumar to take immediate action on this issue.

During the meeting, former District General Secretary Prince Raj, former District Secretary Sarfaraz Ahmed, Gulshan Kumar, Aryan Singh, Rohit Kumar and other student leaders were present.
