Ranchi: The Indira Fellowship Boot Camp organized by the Indian National Congress on 7th-8th January 2025 successfully concluded on 8th January 2025 at the Badlao Institute of Training and Management in Kanke. This program emerged as a significant initiative under the *Shakti Abhiyan*, aimed at empowering women in politics and social work.
On the occasion of the programme’s conclusion, Suresh Kumar Baitha, MLA of Kanke, was the Chief Guest. He praised the power of women and the contributions of Indira Gandhi. Shri Baitha stated, “Empowering women to be active participants in politics and society should be our priority. Like Indira Gandhi, we must work towards strengthening women. This program is a vital step in that direction.”
Baitha also appreciated the work of the Indira Fellowship fellows and said that this initiative is empowering women in politics. He encouraged all the women present, stating that they can bring about positive change in their villages and communities, just as Indira Gandhi did during her political journey.
On the first day of the boot camp, Abhijeet Raj, the President of Jharkhand Youth Congress, also attended the program. He said, “It is truly inspiring to see women from various corners of Jharkhand here, actively working in politics. This shows that people’s politics can only be effective at the grassroots level, and the Indira Fellowship fellows are doing just that.”
The *Indira Fellowship Boot Camp* aimed to train women to work at the grassroots level in politics and help them develop leadership skills. The two-day program provided various training sessions, workshops, and guidance to women political activists.
During the boot camp, women from different parts of Jharkhand shared their experiences and were inspired to further strengthen their roles in politics in the future.
