Spirit of service knows neither age nor bounds

Scottish Girls Contribute Their Pocket Money to Lions Club's Khichdi Distribution Project

Ranchi: The Lions Club of Ranchi Global coordinated the Khichdi Distribution Program at Sadar Hospital, which became a shining example of humanity and service. Two little Scottish girls, Dhriti Yashasvi Parida (4 years) and Manasvi Agamya Parida (7 years), gave their pocket money to the great cause, illustrating that the spirit of service knows neither age nor bounds.

These young girls, currently on a visit to India, decided to save and contribute their personal funds to feed the needy, making a profound impact. Their mother, Puja Gaddyan, expressed her pride, saying, “We have always taught our daughters that true happiness lies in helping others. Their contribution to this initiative reflects the values they hold dear.” Though their father, Rakhel Kumar Parida, could not attend, his encouragement and support played a key role in shaping their spirit of giving.

Dr. Bimlesh Ranjan, Deputy Superintendent of Sadar Hospital, attended the event as the chief guest and applauded the girls’ inspiring effort, calling it a remarkable example for society. Lions Club Secretary Manoj Kumar Mishra highlighted that this was the 24th successful week of their signature project, which is carried out every Saturday throughout the year.

Lions Club Treasurer Santosh Agrawal urged others to take inspiration from the girls, noting, “Even small acts of kindness can create significant change.” The program was supported by sponsors, including Mrs. Manju Gaddyan and Puja Gaddyan, who played a pivotal role in its success. Club members, including Sailesh Agrawal, Rajeev Chaudhary, and Altamash Alam, also contributed to the smooth execution of the program. Dhriti and Manasvi’s heartfelt act serves as a reminder that even the smallest gestures, driven by a big heart, can bring about meaningful change, leaving a lasting impression on everyone involved.
