Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan’s birth anniversary celebrated in Indumati Tibrewal School

Ranchi: 137th birth anniversary of the great Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan Iyengar, who gave a new dimension to mathematics, was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the local Indumati Tibrewal Saraswati Vidya Mandir High School, Deepa, Chatra.

The program was inaugurated by Ayodhya Prasad Singh, in-charge of the local school and senior teacher of mathematics Sunil Singh, by jointly lighting lamps and offering flowers.

On this occasion, as the keynote speaker, teacher Sachin Dubey remembered the great Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, who made significant contributions in the fields of analysis and number theory, and presented his biography.

He further said that today the whole of India is celebrating National Math Day on Ramanujan’s birthday. Sriramnujan compiled 3884 theorems. He did not get any training in mathematics, yet he made profound contributions in the fields of analysis and number theory.

 


During this, Acharya Sunil Singh, Ayodhya Prasad Singh, Govind Kumar, Rajendra Kumar and Vikas Kumar also threw light on the biography of Ramanujan. On this occasion, the brothers and sisters of classes II to IX of the school, one by one, threw light on his contribution in the field of mathematics and said that they should move ahead by taking inspiration from his life.

The stage was jointly conducted by sisters Divya Kumari and Prerna Kumari of class IX A.
