Ranchi: Jharkhand High Court chief justice Ramchandra Rao on Wednesday inaugurated a blood donation camp in the Jharkhand High Court premises and encouraged all the blood donors to donate blood and extended his best wishes.
The blood donation camp was jointly organized by Sadar Hospital, Ranchi, High Court Legal Services Committee, High Court Co-operative Society, Jharkhand Thalassemia Foundation, Voluntary Blood Donor Association. Justice Rangon Mukhopadhyay was the main motivator in this event and his efforts for the blood donation camp have always been commendable.
In the inauguration ceremony, all high court judges, registrar general Manoj Prasad and other registrars besides Jharkhand High Court Advocate Association president Ritu Kumar, ASGI Anil Kumar, Ranchi DIG Anup Birthare, civil surgeon Prabhat Kumar medical officer of Sadar Hospital blood bank Ranju Sinha and High Court Legal Services Committee secretary Ravi Shankar Mishra, High Court Co-operative Society Chairman Ajay Prakash Chandra, Jharkhand Thalassemia Foundation President Rahul Gupta and Secretary Atul Gera, Secretary of Voluntary Blood Donor Association Arup Chakraborty and assistant director of JSACS Julie Nita Soke were present.
In this event, along with the advocates of the High Court, officers and employees of the High Court, people of the police department participated enthusiastically and the contribution of women advocates and women employees was also commendable.
Since 2015, such an event has been organized once or twice every year in the High Court premises under the aegis of the High Court Employees Co-operative Society. Keeping in mind the increasing number of Thalassemia patients, this year also 140 (one hundred forty) units of blood were collected.
